Santa Barbara Historic Site Listed For $50 Million Set For Auction

A designated Santa Barbara City historical landmark, part of the original iconic Santa Barbara Mission, is headed to auction. The one-of-a-kind, multi-structure estate was listed for $50 million, but will now have a starting bid of $25 million

The 11.37-acre property is set to auction this June via Concierge Auctions. The entire site features six institutionally sized building structures, multipurpose sports field, tennis and basketball courts, gardens, classroom and office portables. There are also several parking lots—not to mention 360-degree Pacific Ocean and Santa Ynez Mountain views.

Zoned RE-15 with approved educational use, the property has residential and potential commercial opportunities. A city of Santa Barbara designated historic landmark, 2300 Garden Street once served as a theological college and as various private schools dating back to the early 1900’s.

Auction bidding opens June 12 and culminates on June 26 in cooperation with Timothy Di Prizito of AKG | Christie’s International Real Estate, Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Realty and Kyle Barratt and Mark Perry of CBRE.
