About Jennifer Dunlavy
Jen Dunlavy is a Southern California native who knows Los Angeles like the back of her hand. From a very young age, Jen and her identical twin sister started doing commercials. This path was integral in creating the innovative and ambitious woman she is today. At the age of 16, she started modeling and after returning from photo shoots/work in Milan, she had developed a new found love of all things creative; from fashion to architecture and design. Within months, she and her sister launched their own clothing line that was sold at Fred Segal, Scoop NYC, and many other boutiques across the country.
Two years into their clothing venture, she transitioned into interior design. With a keen sense for current and upcoming trends, she started to forge a new career path. Fashion can often be the impetus for future home design trends. Jen and her sister have filmed numerous design shows and were featured in the ‘Successful Women in Business’ issue of Vogue Magazine for interior design. Jen has successfully owned her own design business for years, but has transitioned into real estate full-time. This was the natural progression into the next chapter of her career, one that has fostered numerous, rewarding relationships with her clients.
Whether Jen is helping a client buy or sell a home, this is just the first step. She often stages, redesigns, consults on cosmetic fixes, and gives insight on the financial impact certain adjustments or remodeling may have before an offer is made. Her knowledge and experience is invaluable, as we navigate through a booming housing market.
Jen has spent the past four years traveling between Los Angeles and New York and recently passed the New York real estate exam. She has clients from coast to coast and her light-hearted, warm demeanor and wit makes her clients feel that they are in capable hands.
Jen is also an advocate for mental health awareness. She is currently developing an online platform that focuses on creating a safe space which encourages healthy dialogue around difficult and challenging topics. Her mission is to help others find comfort, support and resources revolving around mental health. She is passionate about helping our youth find healthy ways of coping with online bullying and the pressures that come from the fast paced world we live in.
