Movers: Kofi Nartey brings sports and entertainment focus to Real Brokerage

Sports and entertainment real estate agent Kofi Nartey changed the affiliation of his Globl RED team to The Real Brokerage earlier this month. The Los Angeles-headquartered Globl RED had worked with Side since 2020. Nartey said his team made the switch because he liked Real’s co-sponsored revenue sharing program which rewards agents with revenue for agents they directly attract to the brokerage. Headquartered in the Los Angeles area, Globl RED focuses on beach cities from Palos Verdes to Malibu and to downtown. Nartey also plans to build teams in Las Vegas, Arizona, Hawaii and other U.S. markets. His plans call for further developing his sports and entertainment practices at Real. Previously, he started sports and entertainment departments at Compass and The Agency. In 2017, he wrote a book on his specialty titled “Sellebrity.” For the past seven years, he has worked with the NFL to talk to players about real estate opportunities. His focus grew out of his experience. Nartey played college football for Cal Berkeley and in 1998, he played with the Raiders National Football League team before he was sidelined with an injury. Working with sports figures is a lot more detailed than it looks, he said. “It depends on where they are in their career — their rookie season, or their first or second year, that contract may be different from a veteran contract, or an extension on a deal. You may have a contract that might keep you in one place for three to five years,” he said. “More often, we’re dealing with more than the player. We’re dealing with a wealth advisor, a business manager and a sports agent who are part of the equation.” ➤After a three-year run as regional vice president for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Los Angeles, Tamara Robinson signed on as senior director at Redfin earlier this month. She’ll oversee Redfin’s brokerage operations in Southern California, which include Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Palm Springs, Orange County and San Diego, said Jason Aleem, Redfin’s senior vice president of real estate operations. ➤Alek Savitzky Carrera was named executive vice president of global markets for top agent Sally Forster Jones. Her self-named Sally Forster Jones Group is affiliated with Compass. An announcement describes Carrera as a partner for Sally Forster Jones Group clients seeking to buy, sell or invest in properties around the world. ➤Taaseen Qureshi joined the on-site sales team at Century Plaza Tower Residences Aug. 15. She will work in collaboration with Bond Street Partners at The Agency, The Agency Development Group and Next Century Realty to sell luxury condos which range from $1.9 million to $11 million at the Century City complex. Qureshi was the agent who sold the highest-priced luxury condo in 2022, which was $21.5 million at Pendry Residences West Hollywood. ➤AKG at Christie’s International Real Estate announced two veteran agents have affiliated with its Beverly Hills office. One is Vlad Stojanovic, who brought in about $65 million in sales volume in a Real Trend’s ranking of 2022 business. Stojanovic will focus on enclaves such as Malibu, Pacific Palisades and Brentwood. Timothy Di Prizito and his DPG Group will focus on neighborhoods such as Beverly Hills. Di Prizito worked seven years with the Joyce Rey Team at Coldwell Banker Realty, where he served as Rey’s general manager. ➤Sandra Vidal, a cast member of Spanish-language reality show “Rica, Famosa, Latina,” recently affiliated with Coldwell Banker Exclusive, headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, She formerly worked with Compass. In 2021, Vidal represented the seller in the sale of an 18-acre property that was once partially owned by former First Lady Betty Ford. The sale ran for about $30 million. ➤Douglas Elliman has recruited new agents including Chris Carson, who will work from the brokerage’s Brentwood office. He will focus on the Santa Clarita and San Fernando valleys. Suzy Palumbo also will work from Elliman’s Brentwood office. She’ll focus on neighborhoods in Santa Monica, Venice and Marina Del Rey. Also, Jackie Guthrie affiliated with the Eklund Gomes Team and will work from Elliman’s Newport Beach office. ➤Hanna Ginsberg and Nathan Wahnich have affiliated with Carolwood Estates. Ginsberg will work with agent Nichole Shanfeld, while Wahnich will join the Davis Saadian Group. Both Ginsberg and Wahnich will focus on Los Angeles’ Westside. ➤Shira Dunn recently affiliated with Compass. Dunn will work in the Compass’ Sherman Oaks office with a focus that includes the San Fernando Valley. ➤Kevin Lenik has affiliated with Roxy Ayala’s team at Amalfi Estates. He will focus on Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Encino and Pacific Palisades. Adria Hendler joined Chad Singer’s team at Amalfi Estates and will focus on Studio City, Westlake Village and Calabasas. Bobby Neely also recently affiliated with Amalfi Estates. He will focus on Brentwood, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Studio City, West Los Angeles and Calabasas. https://therealdeal.com/la/2023/08/29/movers-kofi-nartey-brings-sports-focus-to-real-brokerage/
